Sigh....nothing better than waking up at 4am to water under the fridge. Move the fridge and discover a fair amount of water under it (1/8" deep at the highest). Discover a nice pin hole leak in the water supply valve if you had a fridge with a water filter. Took a picture but it didnt show up so i added the blue line illustrating it lol.

Thankfully, Im pretty sure I caught it early. Nothing still feels wet after cleaning up the water.

Better than my parents who had a similar issue like 10 years ago and didnt catch it. Ended up leaking down into the bedroom below and required pulling drywall, new flooring, and some other fixes. My repair should just be a new valve.

anyone that uses a pressure washer or has had experience with them, can you answer a question for me please? I was given a Ryobi gas 3100psi pressure washer and I want to use it to wash my truck ( I know this isn't home improvement but more the washer ). do you have to always have the trigger pulled or is it safe that I spray leave the motor running wash then pull the trigger? meaning the water is not being used but the motor is ideling. or do I need to shut the motor off in between and always re start the motor? don't want to damage the motor. would I be better using an electric pressure washer for this use? I will post this in detailing thread too
    thanks david

It should be fine to sit for about 10-15 minutes, but the only thing would be wasting gas in my opinion.

Idling is fine for shorter periods of time like @Cazzwell said. They "should" have a built in pressure relief so no need to worry bout that.

Depends on the power washer , if it has no recirculation to keep everything cool and relies on water passing through it you can seize it

My power washer can only idle for approx 2 min without water passing through it

So I let my dad convince me to paint the entire interior of my house instead of letting someone else do it. Price and scheduling being the main issue with hiring it out at the moment. I've been dreading paint rolling all the ceilings and walls.... I'm seriously considering an airless sprayer. I looked at this site for a starting point https://www.toolnerds.com/paint-sprayer-for-interior-walls/

Anyone have any input on airless sprayers!? I'm ok with investing in one as I will have tons of uses for it in the future.

I dont think I would want to spray inside. I picked up a sprayer for my shed (outside of it) and you get a bunch of overspray. Youd really have to cover everything. Which by the time you cover everything and with cleanup and all I think youd be just as good rolling it.

    But thats just my experience

Well I've seen plenty of people that use airless indoors for large projects. And they use them commercially. So I'm not worried about overspray much. I've got a huge roll of plastic drop cloth and would have to tape off regardless. More so looking for product recommendations and tips.

Post a review when you get the chance to break it out. I'm going to be in the market for one soon. I like how it hooks to a garden hose for easy clean up.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Graco X5. Anyone have that one? Really like that you can hook a water hose to the sprayer and clean it easily.

Our roofing panels were delivered today , roofers to start either tomorrow or Thursday

    1 of 2 packs

With all the siding done that we can finish without the roof flashings in place we moved inside and installed the painted 1x6 v joint ceiling in the master bedroom

I got one of these when I did a study room for my wife. Its a good sprayer with 2 sets of nozzles (fine and broad), but my only 2 complaints about it is that it is a little noisy and you have to refill kinda often. I wish I would of gotten one that hooked to a 5 gal bucket, but I couldn't beat the price of $40 brand new at home depot (they over stocked them and needed the room )
