Everytime I start my truck, my phone asks if I want to connect to Entune. I usually don't want to take the time to enter my email and PW, so I just ignore it. The phone works fine without logging on to Entune. But is there a setting on my truck or phone that will keep me logged in? I'm using an old iPhone...not the newest one released today or whatever.

Yup. It is annoying and I don't have an answer.

Entune is outdated and silly, so much easier to just use your smartphone now a days. There is an app or google for everything.

Maybe I'm just not using entune right? Maybe someone can instruct us on its ins and outs..?

    Instructional video anyone? :)

This is the biggest pain in the ass. The warden also complains about the same thing, which makes it even more miserable. She already has enough to complain about.
It's probably the only real negative thing we can say about either of our cars
How in the F'ing F are you supposed to put your information in when you are trying to drive?!
And it's an app...so it won't store your info, or let you auto-pop it from the keychain.
No offense to all the mentally handicapped people out there, but this is straight up retarded.
Can I get the Touch ID? Can I at least get my email to save so I don't have to put it in all the time?
Why is it sometimes good for a couple days..and other times I have to re-enter it every time I start the truck?

I always want to complain about it, but the only way to do it is to call in, and ain't nobody got time for that.
Maybe if we all do it tho.

How about this... From the iPhone, go to Settings --> Notifications --> ToyotaEntune and turn notifications Off. I never get a notice and have notifications turned off.

Mine does ask me each time I start the truck but as long as I swipe and hit my passcode it logs in but it seems to stay at the Entune page and none of the "apps" show up and there seems to be no option to click on anything to get the Apps to show up? Guess I'm not doing it right...

Edit: I figured it out. The screen on my phone stays blank and just says Entune because it's connected on the car screen..

But carscreen only works when not moving I think.. don't believe there is a passenger override.

And you have to dissconect from the car to use the phones Entune app. Lol.

I'm going to try this. I suspected it was a setting I missed when I was synching my phone. In fact, I am surprised it wasn't an easy fix. Since I specifically picked a Tacoma because I don't like techie stuff, I'm not going to really complain about some tech feature that I don't use anyway. But this seems like such a little thing Toyota could have fixed long ago? I mean, why go to the trouble to design and market Entune as a feature if it doesn't come up easily.

So I kinda figured it out.

If you log in, it’ll stay logged in every time you start your truck. So you can use web desitination searches, Pandora, etc.,

If you close your running app (close apps running in the background) your phone WILL connect but it’ll only show text messages, Bluetooth audio, etc.,

This is a complete pain in the ass. I just want it to stay logged in regardless.

The language of your post seems like Android language (close apps running in the background). The OP is dealing with an iPhone interaction. Might be a different experience.

Same thing. It's understood in iPhone language as well.
I too believe the key to all of this is to keep it running in the background. Will try tonight.
