CNY (Syracuse) owners?!

I'll be moving back east next summer and I'm trying to see if there is any taco/yota guys n gals around the Syracuse/CNY area? I've seen a few lurking in the NY thread but since NY is huge and unlike CA where I'm at currently there's no easy way to determine upstate verses NYC area lol I've been super spoiled with all of the Tacoma groups/owners out here in Cali and would love to find a new group to roll with next summer... I couldn't believe while searching through the threads that there is hardly any CNY folks?! my favorite part of being part of a group is getting to know fellow enthusiasts and mod days BBQing and drinking some beers! so chime in and if you know of any groups that go trail hunting (especially the Adirondacks) post up!

 

My son and i are gonna camp out of the truck at west canada this week but we have a camper in boonville . ( more glamping,) there is a ton of stuff to do within a hour from there!

 

great! I was hoping there would be more locals to do mod days and whatnot as that's a huge hit out here on the west coast... I like the comrade of working on trucks together and learning tips and tricks from each other

 

I'm in Liverpool and always down for some BBQ, and wrenching! Not sure how many others are in the area.

 

I'm down in Binghamton. Always down to meet up, hang out, ride some trails etc.

 

Hey all, jr and i will probably go crash the jeeps at the beach show in sylvan beach today if anybody wants to go. Im gonna see if i can bait a few into sand drags in sept, i took 1st in june and july(only one cherokee showed)

 

Let me know if you ever hit some trails near the cuse area. I'm new to this and have no idea where any trails are around here!

 

Camden? You should be able to find some trails near you, wouldnt be surprised if you could get right up on tug hill without touching pavement. Im gonna run the sand drags in taberg again on sep9, its a good time and tacomas do vVERY well in stock and mini classes(join in, we need more trucks!)

 

Upstate is everything north of NYC for real. Grew up in Bingo, college in Buffalo. More or less regions of NYS, Central NY, Southern Tier, Western NY, Adirondacks, Tug Hill Plateau, Catskills, Finger Lakes, Capital Region, etc

 

I should update my profile I actually just moved to Liverpool. However I do still have some property in Camden and go there frequently. To find trails up tug hill would I be best to use secondary roads from a snowmobile map? I'll look in to the sand drags might just have to join up.

 

Yup, that should work, some go thru private property but show respect and you ok. Check on the rocks bar and grill on fb.

 

I just moved to Fayetteville from NC. I have been busy at work since getting up here but I would be down for mod day and some trail riding. I am not at all familiar with the northeast so I would not likely be able to lead any trail rides but I do enjoy truck mods, BBQs, camping and drinking beers ( in no particular order).

 

There is mud drags and sled grass drags in boukville next week if anybody wants to watch or run, ill run mini and stock if enough people show up to make a class. I got 6 trophies in the sand this season, and boukville is only 15 miles away!

 

The drags start today! 4000 hp, 4wd supermods all the way dowm to my stockish lil taco. These guys run 200ft in 2.019 sec, need schutes to slow down, thats impressive! There is also sled drags nationals goin on . My taco does pretty good usually in mini and stock but we need more trucks! Almost forgot to tell where, its in bouckville, just south from verona exit on thruway

 

I'm in Binghamton. I'd be down for a gathering up in/near Syracuse
