Does anyone have measurements on a gen 2 Tacoma before and after installing a gen 3 Off-Road stock suspension. I understand that it is supposed to provide a gain of approximately 1" but was hoping for measurements of front in back if any has them.

    Hey man,

When I sold my 3rd gen setup to a guy on here he installed it on his 2nd gen and got 1" of lift in the front, let me dig up my post and his username to confirm!

That is what I have seen many times on this suspension applied to a gen 2 Tacoma. Now that I am selling the same suspension I can't seem to find it anywhere for my pending buyer. I appreciate your help.

You bet!!! My measurements would be wacky af because I run 4inch spindles up front and Dakars out back.

We did measure before and after and it was exactly an inch lift up front!

SO im about to throw a full (without the leaf pack) Gen 3 OR suspension on my Gen 2 PreRunner. Trying to figure out AAL to match.

I have a set of 3rd gen OR shocks from a buddy that I can put into my 2nd gen Trd sport. Will I need to AAL?

I still have 1" rake with 3rd gen Sport suspension and Toyota 4 leaf recall leaf pack. Visually looks almost level though. Hub to fender measurements before were 20" front and 22" rear, after suspension install about 21" front, 22" rear. This is with 265/75/16s.

It will actually level you out quite well.

Sorry for the noob questions. @ilubtimmyhos @kryten

But do I even need to swap out the rear since there is no height difference? I am going from a sport to OR suspension but not sure if there is a difference in the rears vs front coils.

    Thanks for the help!

Don't have to unless your rear shocks are worn out. That being said, I would rather have matching shocks in all 4 corners. Sport Hitachis have a firmer ride than softer OR Bilsteins.

I've got a line on a 2017 OR suspension set up (to replace my stock 2013 OR set up), and trying to decide if I want to buy and install the whole thing, or just need certain components.

Are the rear shocks the same?
Are the rear leafs the same?
    Are the UCA's the same?

Also, does anybody have pictures of a 2nd gen with a 3rd gen TRD suspension set up installed? Trying to see how it looks, and if it's worth the money/time.

    Thanks for the help!

Running 2017 trd sport struts on my 2015 trd sport short box. Went with icon 1.5 add a leafs with overload in in the rear! It gave me exactly 1" lift in the front. Before and after pic, love the ride of this combo. Stock tire size in both pics, soon to be 265/70r17.IMG_4865.jpg
