I paid just over $1K for all 4 corners, alignment and ECGS install.

Wait... didn't you say in another thread that you had all kinds of problems and hated your truck?

My truck does have problems, the transmission exhibits the behavioral quirks that many report, the roof rack leaks sometimes, the rear diff is recalled and I actually STILL don't have it as its stuck at the dealer waiting for parts (going on a month+ now)... But I 'm stuck with it for the long haul regardless. Might as well make it the best I can for me in the interim.

So you are going to take a truck you don't like and try to make it pretty? Nice. Reminds me of two sayings:

    "Lipstick on a Pig"
    "Polish a Turd"

So while it's there have the dealer fix the leak and do the transmission TSB's.

They said that the TSB for the tranny didn't apply to my vin and that they didn't notice any problems.

Of course I do. The difference is I like mine and it has zero problems. I just had my 10K oil change. I've had it almost four months. I also picked up an OEM roof rack and installed it.
Good luck with yours. If it were me, I would take that grand plus you want to use making this one pretty and use it as a down payment on a different truck. But that's me.

Good news... if you were prepared to spend $1300 you can get the entire OME kit with Dakars and find someone to help you do the install yourself. If you were closer, I'd help you for a 30 pack.

Why don't you just buy the parts and tell the ASM at the dealer to hook you up on the labor, or do it for free since you've been without your truck for so long?

TSBs are for specific issues that need to be apparant, it's not automatic for everyone. Your truck has to display the symptom the TSB was designed to correct before its applied. What are you looking to fix?

Here's a hint, it won't be applied because you don't like how it shifts, you'll need to be specific.

Well I'd say specifically it has a hard time downshifting a gear when I need more power. Then by the time I have to pedal it to the floor it downshifts two gears and makes me look like an asshole to other drivers. The truck has plenty of power, it just can't use it.

That might be the problem then, I believe the TSBs were designed to hold gear longer. I don't have it memorized but you'll need to look each up to see what they address and if your symptom matches then they'll do it.

I only had the 1st TSB done to correct delayed R to D transition. I didn't get the 2nd one done because my truck doesn't display the symptoms for Rev1.

    Probably not.

However, you might want to be more thoughtful about posting your name/address/phone right out in a public forum.

Equifax can take care of those distributions for you. For free.:rofl:

I like this idea. Depending on how much longer this shit goes I may give it a try.
