There was a concert on Saturday and something got messed up. I wont know more (and might not be allowed to share) until Saturday.

I think the bandwidth is reduced during preseason, mainly because all the games are filmed in house only. The big TV trucks and HD equipment doesn't show up for preseason. It should be better after the season starts (hopefully).

freaking paypal and astraweb cant get along. Come to find out they let me slide a little which is cool as to have zero interuption. However, is does lead to a larger bill than expected. But, they had me renew and gave me 2months for $4 and then back to my $8 I was paying before. Good on them.

That's good to hear. I wonder what the hiccup is with Paypal and Astra? I've been slowly switching everything to paypal because BOFA likes to gives me new cards ever few months because some online vendor got hacked. So I just link everything to Paypal which is great for disputes.

 

In all fairness, I got a new card too. The issue was with me changing my info

 

One would expect a development team to be ahead of new OS releases. iOS11 goes out and none of my apps work. I ask Dev what the fuck is wrong, they said they never started coding for iOS11..... They "were not away of it's release date"..

It's only been in beta for id,, 4 months now... Fucking idiots.

 

I'm not even sure anyone actually developed iOS11. It's probably one of the worst, bug full, final versions Apple has released.

 

That's how I look at every iOS release until their 9th patch comes though. Apple has always pushed shit way too fast, buggy as hell, and then within a week or two a 'patch' will come out. Then another, then another, then another.

 

Agreed. It use to be a lot better. I was a developer around iOS4 and iOS5 which feels like forever ago. The betas were fun

 

Dear god iOS4.. That was such a long time ago!

What really pisses me off about iOS releases is that I did a boatload of testing on iOS11 beta. No issues. As soon as the official release is dropped issues showed up. They added stuff to the code that wasn't in the last beta. Every iOS update causes super huge headaches with my job.

 

Yeah, I have been happy with all the betas, probably the best betas to date. All my issues came up with GM release.


Saw Sprint's pre-orders for the new iPhone was so bad they are basically giving away the 8 now.... with contract.

Also, rumor is that T-Mobile is looking to buy Sprint.

 

I'd love to see T-Mo by Sprint.

 

I've used it for several hours today. Not a single ad. I was able to listen to a whole album in order, and at "Extreme Quality" (320kbps)

 

I guess the feds have always said they want a minimum of 4 MAJOR carriers. So there is a lot of question if it will go through. However, Dish bought a lot of bands at the last auction and it is possible that they are getting ready to make a move it the cell phone business. By either building out their own infrastructure from scratch, which would take 3-4 years, or buying up one of the smaller businesses and building them up. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Although I am a little scared about Dish, they are formally Earthlink, with is a Scientology company.

 

I'm curious to see what happens with t mobile. Thinking about a change from att to the big v or tmo. Haven't done any serious comparisons yet. Still about a month or so away.

 

I've had VZW for over 16 years. Really can't complain about anything other than pricing. If I ever left, I'd probably go with TMO. Everyone I know hates Sprint, and AT&T is meh.

 

I never had issues with Sprint other than the fact that for some reason they couldn't get any phone on my account to have 4g. Never was able to figure it out and it made me leave Sprint. Went to Verizon. Fucking hate them and as soon as my contract is up I'm out and going to TMO.

 

I love T-Mobile almost as much as I loved VoiceStream! I was on Sprint for a while, but after 5+ years, their customer service didn't give a F'k about me or my business. So I went to AT&T, because my parents were on it, and we got free AT&T to AT&T calls. We switched to TMO to save money about 2 years ago. At first coverage was questionable outside of Phx. They have done so many improvements over the last two years that we are very happy with them.

I actually called them last week and went over my plans, they found a way to save me another $40 a month.

Only I have heard, is to avoid the actual stores. They are rumored to do add-ons without asking because they are pressured so badly. But online and on the phone have always been great.

 

Dropped my Pixel in the ocean. So far, so issues.
