I'll let you guys debate who's at fault on this one...

On my way home from work this evening.

The timing and lyrics of the song are kind of humorous.

That's an easy one.... the police office. He is responsible for clearing the intersection, especially running code 3. I will say, quick action on his part kept that from being a lot worse.

You'll note... no siren was activated. Only lights.

There may have been room to avoid collision had the officer swerved right. But, reflexes in a two second window is about all he had.

I kind of suspect, but don't know for sure, that the officer expected to get to the light before it cycled red and when realizing he couldn't flipped his lights on. I could be wrong though. I saw the red/blues in my side mirror just about the same time the truck tried to stop. The officer was moving at speed (speed limit is 45mph here, and increases to 55 just passed the intersection).

well, i think it should be the LEO, as, at least around me, they always slow wayyyy down before flying through an intersection. however, it all depends on how the report looks. hopefully you gave the guy in the truck your number for the footage, he might need it

Still waiting for the PD to come get my video. Reached out a couple times. I did show it to a client (retired police chief of this agency) and he instantly said the LEO was at fault.

Not a bum or anything... Just a guy who likes to dress up as jack sparrow and go around town asking for rum. lmao. He does a pretty good job at it too! Haha.

Send that video to the school district. Those kind of the mistakes can end up making tragic news stories. If the driver is willing to run a red light, what other errors in judgement are they making with other peoples' kids' lives.

Not a stupidity thing... but a sample of the night time footage of the Viofo V119A dashcam, at night, while nearly hitting a deer crossing a dark road in Montana this evening.

Super grainy and the microphone does a crap job with the bass from my stereo.

This happened this evening. The time stamp is off. I really don't know how I avoided this. I was just waiting for the crunching sound! I wasn't paying as close attention as I should have been, but still, damn!

You were in the left lane with appropriate following distance. If there was an accident there if you were involved or not the video is pretty clear that the Dodge is at fault IMHO.

Man, that is a stupid intersection. You would have to cautious there everytime, because it certainly would weed out the idiot drivers.
