    Has anyone noticed any added road noise with the Auto Ventshade protectors installed? One of the comments on Amazon says there is additional road noise because the door does not seal as well. Wondering if anyone here has had that issue.

    Making a decision between the AVS and Toyota factory.

    I have the oem
    $44 PT747-35160 Door Sill Protectors
    PT747-35160 for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma installed. Disappointed that they are vinyl peel n stick. It does look good but i am still looking for something a little more rugged. Hard plastic/pvc? Anyone know of company who makes these?

    There is a guy here on TW that makes and sells his own. I believe they are called G-Tek and are made of powder coated metal. I can't remember what I paid as I bought mine about 5-6 years ago. They are still on the truck and work well. I would recommend them. You could search the forum for G-Tek to find out more.
    I am not the seller/manufacturer of the sill protectors and have no financial interest in them. This is just FYI.

    My 08 reg cab came with oem sills that wrap over the edge unlike the 05 access cab that had the flat stick on ones that do not wrap over the edge. Here's the reg cab ones......basically no reason to change them...............same style as bed caps
