I would start that on Saturday. Just every hour or so spray on another coat of paint.

Most of the time spent will be prepping it to get painted.

 

Estimated time for prep?​

 

Bare steel? Do you have a sander and some mineral spirits?

 

Bear steal. All me has matey is that stuff that cleans it (cant remember what its called rn)

Just have to keep mosquitoes from landing on it (or you).

 

You'll want to hit it with the sander to get that rust off. Then wiping it down well with the mineral spirits.

Something as simple as this

If you don't want to spend the money, you can pick up a few sheets of sandpaper and call it good. But your arm my get tired. I remember having to do it with my sliders and it got old fast.

 

Acetone?

 

I paint in the bay at work. Turn on the heaters to bake the paint on.
