Looking for a light bar for the roof of my 2003 Tacoma. I do have OE roof racks, I was considering using them to mount the light bar, curious on what size would be ideal; or maybe some other ways people have done this.

Link to light bar you bought?
    (Amazon if possible.)

    Images of the light bar?

    Color of light? 6000k? etc.

How did you mount the light bar? Comes with brackets? Fabricate them?

Any help is appretiated. Thanks again guys!!

Had a light bar on my 2nd gen. So much glare on my hood. My bumper light bar was more useful. Although I'd say mount on roof rack that way the glare will be mostly on your roof instead of hood. I was able to mount a 21" light bar in my 1st gen bumper and is very useful. Although the 32" on my 2nd gen bumper did put out tons more light.

Nice. I am sure that works awesome for upclose. I have LED eagle eye fog lights on the skid plate. Work pretty good for 10ft radius. I need to mount something for downroad now. Thats why I was thinking about the roof. I drive on the beach a lot. This is an image before truck was lifted. Image is with just parking lights and eagle eyes.

Keep in mind my bumper light bar puts off light as far 50-75 yards. Plenty of light and you can mount probably a 30" bar in ur bumper. U may be able to mount a 50" on the roof but the glare will make it hard to see. You'll use the bumper more trust me

Hmm. Got any pics of it though? Just need an idea how it would look.

I have to have a license plate upfront. Required by law in VA. But I also backed that part with grill filler already. Hard to see in any pics though. The camera never does the justice.

Calif requires front plate too. I don't ever run them. I can only fit a single row led bar in mine. You can fit a dual row probably 30". Mine puts off twice as much light as my high beams and twice as far. It's only 21". My 32" in my 2nd gen lit up the night

I like my big top bar (32 inch) that is mounted over the back of the cab, to my rack on the topper. No glare on the hood, but man does it light up the world (off road only). Then I also have a 20 inch on the brush guard, that fills in the area out to about 30 yards or so that is missed by the upper.

I wanted to have additional lighting as well and wanted a roof light bar. Do they require a secondary battery to support the power drain?
