I may have tweaked a few things...
Rockymounts Driveshaft Track Thru-axle for me. I still need to get the dummy skewer so I can throw my road bikes on as well (unsecured)

Still running my Rocky Mounts or Dakine tailgate pad but I've been mocking up my own corner wheel chock using scraps so I don't waste money. My mountain bike is an XL 27.5 that doesn't fit straight in (neither does my road bike) but fits perfect corner to corner. Ratchet straps can hold it down but I want the front very secure from tipping since I tend to drive like a rally driver. It's still a work in progress when I need something to do. If Pipeline made something like this I'd probably just pay for it. End goal is not taking the front wheel off for quick trips & minimal crap in the bed when no bike is there.

A few mods here and there and counting....
Sette fork mounts. Simple and rests on top of relentless bed bars. Plenty of storage underneath and solid as a rock during transport.

Just throw it in the back. No need for anything fancy.

you guys may like this tie down set up i made for my 2016 tacoma bed rails, took the relentless fabrication mount and combined it with a mini boat buckle g3 to make a permanently mounted retractable tie down.

this tie down was expensive but i wanted the black specifically, theres lots of other choices online you just have to look whats right for you

i ride bmx so when i have 3 or more bikes back there ill flip them upside down and run the tie down through the front wheel, i could also see it working for mtb to run over the top tube if you have them hang over the tail gate. hope this helps you!

Still working on finishing touches (like powdercoating) but here's some shitty photos of my custom designed shuttle rack. The top/main piece of the rack flips up on a pivot and folds into the front of the bed, and the rear tire carrier is pinned in and can come out very quickly making for complete use of my truck bed in about 20 seconds. When it's "deployed" i can shuttle 5 bikes and have more space in the front of my short bed. It's a killer system made from 100% stainless. Note that in the photos I don't have my tailgate on because it was beat up in an accident and was being repaired. If anyone wants more info or better pics let me know.
