IMG_1574.jpg Nice mulies. You can't have any cams, bait or other stuff in MT. Pure fair chase here.

    Nice photos though.

Last years mulie in Eastern MT.

Got my eye on a dandy whitetail close to home this year.. we'll see

I wasn't too concerned with age on this one. There were 2 bigger ones with her, but basically all the does on my camera have fawns still in spots, but I figured this one didn't since she was young. Didn't want to orphan a couple small fawns by killing momma.

I usually dont shoot does with fawns that have spots either...Im sure they would survive at this point. They also do latch on to other does in the area. Ive seen it a couple times where the momma weens the fawn and chases the baby away and the fawn just stands there bewildered as to why momma wont allow baby to feed anymore. but later you see them in a herd together

Been there lol. Nothing like having to fire pole slide down a tree when you're 20' off the ground.

Only time I had to do it was a few years ago. I had a rope, but it was dryrotted and when the bottom half of the climber slipped off my feet, the rope snapped and went to the ground. I've also forgotten my rope to pull my gun up a few times. That's a huge pain in the ass, too lol.

That's why you drill a couple holes and put a gun rack on the stand. Newb

Mine is currently drying out from hunting this morning, so it's sitting on the porch. This is what I do to all mine...

I take a little piece of string and tie the gun to the stand when I'm climbing up or down just in case something stupid happened and it tried to fall off.

Nice healthy looking buck! To me he looks closer to 4 or 5, big ol pot belly on him but his front shoulders, neck, and face still seem pre-mature. As long as you have genes like that where you hunt you're in good shape, great Potential

Here is the 8pt out of velvet. Man that velvet adds a lot of "mass" haha. Still a decent deer.

went in our deer blind last night and had what we think is an antlered doe...it had a fawn with it so thats why we think this. I shot a one small antlered doe a few years ago, it also had a fawn that year. Must be some weird mutation around there...
