Anyone haul a Honda 300 Fourtrax 4wd in their bed? If so, how much does the rear tires sit on the tailgate? I've heard our tailgates aren't very strong.

I used to carry my 07 Quadracer around in my 5' bed. Not sure of the size/weight difference but I bent up the tailgate pretty bad loading/unloading. I don't remember the rear wheels sitting on the tailgate though.

I've seen people prop them up so the front wheels are over the cab, or at least propped up on something so they fit in the bed a little better.

I wouldn't want to put all that weight on the tailgate.

I've loaded my yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4 in the back of my DC. Its sits on the tail gate and edge of bed. Haven't had a problem. I put a 2x6 across the inner fenders in the front to pull quad against. Didn't want to take a chance of bending the front of the bed.
    Old red Taco RIP.

Not sure what make/model/year this ATV was, but it fit perfectly.
The driver flipped it and required an ambulance for a ride
to the hospital. I volunteered to get it off the trail and back to
    where his trailer was.

If you have a receiver hitch quite simple to build a brace to support the tail gate .

Some closed cell foam keeps the tail gate from getting scratched .

Then my truck has so many dents what are a few more
