You can clean them yourself and such.... If you have the time. You can power them and stuff on the bench if you order the plug to connect to them.

$69 for a new set sounds too good to be true.... I would stick with oem toyota here. I trouble shot them in a 4 runner and had problems with the over the counter ones causing a misfire randomly. After 2 sets of parts store ones...Put new oem ones in and no problem.

Luckily my personal truck hasn't had any problems during its life so far.

Has anyone done a retrofit that is "more durable" that some of the other retro fits?

I know there have been issues with people doing retros and off-roading just tears them apart. I guess I'm wondering for those of you who have done it if there is a way that I could secure everything better to withstand all the hits and last longer. I've never done a retrofit and haven't really looked into it seriously at this point. But non the less, I'd like a better performing headlight.

I'd think it would over hang. The length of that style free spirit is long enough to sleep in. Assuming that it's 78" long or something. Our beds are 60" long give or take.

But I do like that style tent too. I'd put it on a trailer or a 4Runner if I had either.

My friend the gun store owner lost his shit when an employee got the bright idea to "test" a 320 and damaged the back strap dropping it.
