Selling my motor, trans and various other parts I'm pulling off to get my truck ready for sas and v-8 swap. I'm not selling anything interior or body. I will be selling more once I pull it off but this is it right now. Truck is a 2002 tacoma double cab prerunner with an auto trans and a 2.7 liter 3rz. I bought it from a member knowing it didn't run. he overheated it, changed the head and radiator and couldn't get it started. I never pulled the head but I suspect he bent the valves. I never tried to get it running. It would crank but thats it. I'm in Aurora, Wisconsin. 54151 post here random questions. Message me if you're serious about buying something. I am willing to pull parts off the motor now.

    20170910_184002.jpg Parts I currently have.

    3rz motor
new head won't start. I think the valves are bent. has everything still bolted to it.

    Auto Transmission 30-40le
Torque converter is connected to the motor but I can pull it off to send it with the trans. Everything seemed fine with it when I pulled it. No alarming smell in the fluid.

Air box and intake tube with MAF still attached.

Driveshafts, carrier bearing and double cardon joint.

Complete exhaust and sensors no header

    Tube steps

    mudflaps

I will have more but right now its just what I had time to pull. If you want the radiator and shroud I might be pulling that next weekend. It was brand new but from the PO and me pulling parts it's got a few dented fins. I will be pulling the rear axle and cutting the IFS off the truck and selling that but not right now. Fuel tank might be going and the evap canister is definitely going just might pull that next weekend.

Sold the exhaust manifold, exhaust shroud and three drive belts and a/c compressor

You think the previous owner installed bent valves into a new head?

Did this come out of that silver DC from Arkansas? Look forward to your build in any case!

No. He has a long thread on here about changing over the head and not timing it right. From then on he only had 60 psi of compression on all four cylinders

351w,c6 and np208 all from an 86 f250 I picked up. sat for 8 years cause oil pressure dropped. guy sold it to me and I know it's the crank bearings but I couldn't resist. I gave it a breathe of ether and bam. the damn thing came to life and ran for ten minutes perfect. no oil pressure drop or stumble from 8 year old gas.20170917_145109.jpg 20170917_145121.jpg

Wow, is that a carb engine? I've been contemplating doing the Tundra v8 swap but all the wiring and computer control systems is a huge turn off. Can't imagine a truck that old has many computer controlled systems.

You're using the transmission from that truck, I presume?

Yep. It's carbed. Yeah I'm putting the motor Trans and it's got a np208 transfer case. It's all simple.

Ford axles from a different truck. F350 one tons. You can see them sitting in my driveway behind that trailer in the first picture. I'm still collecting parts.

I just started showing the CEL code P0420 which is for cat deficiency I was going to try a few things but if you are selling your full exhaust with cats and sensors, I'll buy it all from you.

Are you in this area? In a couple of days if this doesn't sell, I'm selling off parts that guys have requested. Header might be spoken for and someone wants the cats but who knows. I'll look back and it'll be first guy who requested and if he says he doesn't want them then I'll message the next guy on the list.
