Don't have any reason to own a 3/4 ton it was just something I wanted at the time ! I owned a 94 Toyota single cab back in the day and my wife owns a 08 4 runner and it's never been in the shop for ANYTHING !!! Very good selling point if you ask me !!

The stock truck on factory suspension and tires will go damn near anywhere you want off-road and it is quieter inside than my wife's Camry.

I can attest to this. I've had trucks on 42" tires and over 6" of lift, lockers in back, LSD front... Whole 9 yards.

Ive had zero desire to lift my Tacoma yet. It gets everywhere that -wont destroy- a truck no matter how big it is.

Hey, do what you do. Every lifted truck I've ever owned needs more maintenance than if it were stock. Wheel bearings, u joints, CV's/kingpins/ball joints. Just be prepared for what you get.

Seems like you made up your mind on the truck and lift. It's your truck, so get what you want and enjoy it. What everyone said in response to your original post is true, so learn from the wisdom on this forum. You'll quickly learn that you'll end up spending more money down the road regardless, so lurk the forums wisely.

Just to prepare you, 35s are going to make it feel like a sluggish pig without a regear.

2 inch lift on 265's are the sweetspot in capability and responsiveness.

Here is a good example that I saw at my dealership a couple months ago. They wanted 4 grand for two pieces of metal added on the suspension and crappy bull bars and tube steps that cost less than 500 total, and thats pushing it. So they wanted all that money for some add ons that take minimal time to install and would cost you way less than a grand for 4 thousand.

I am with y'all on the dealer putting it on people so I didn't get anything they offered ! I'm gonna just drive it for a little while and slowly purchase my lift and when I get it all bought I'll buy my wheels and tires and be exactly where I want !!!

Take it back right now and tell them they left off about a foot of your truck bed and you want it back.

    Congrats on the new truck.

Hell yeah!! Talk about an awesome thread. OP, congrats on the truck. You're also wise for coming on here and asking the pros, and then following that advice. That's amazing!! Everyone kept it civil in here too (some of these threads really go off the rails). I'll just parrot everyone else and say to enjoy your truck, take your time to research, and get the exact lift you want. There's plenty to read!
