By the way if you need any parts off the tub let me know. I have a old tub so have some extra parts laying around. Not everything will work since its a '76 tub but some things will.

    FJ update -

Got the seats out, gas tank out, doors off and apart, front grill dissembled and drive shafts out. Cleaned all the rats nest and dirt off. This truck is in amazing shape even under the gas tank only minor surface rust. All of the phillips heads blow tho, but the impact driver took care of most of them.

Need to finish taking the dash apart and everything off the firewall then we should be able to pull the tub off and start working on the engine and frame.

Those Phillips heads suck because they are actually JIS screws. The annoyingly similar to phillips but just off enough to be frustrating lol. I wont be using a single JIS screw on mine, either allen heads or phillips for me.

Did you get a JIS bit or did you just use a phillips?

Lol yeah. I think like 80% of the upper dash pad ones broke off the heads. Thankfully there arent that many of them. The knobs on the controls (fresh air, heat, ect) are JIS too but i found either a phillips worked or it was seized and didnt really matter what you used to get it out lol.

I just used phillips to be honest. But i fully planned to replace all the fasteners anyways so I wasnt worried about damaging the heads.

I did pick up a JIS screw driver for when i get to the screws not in the tub though. For the dash knobs tiny screw i just used my regular phillips precision screw drivers.

This is the JIS screw driver I picked up. Vessel is one of the few companies who makes true JIS drivers.

Sweet thats good to know, I still need to get the rear swing out and barn doors off so I think this would be better to use for that, and the front window.

Went up yesterday, and ran mud springs and clover springs. Had my uncle tag along in his CJ7. It was pretty fun and covered a lot of ground, started snowing on us at the top.

This would be a fun trail to do a TW meet if it was wet or snow on the ground, a few places would be pretty fun.
