Got back from the Keys on Sunday. Went through Big Pine Key which had a tornado come through. Took my grandparents out of Big Coppitt Key to my Uncle's house in New Port Richey near my house. They did get power Saturday evening but it was best to still get them out of there.

Not surprising. From what I've seen so far, they will be recreating the power infrastructure pretty much from scratch. I also just saw they are expecting water >70' above flood stage in the mountains.

This made me curious. So I looked at earth.nullschool.net and was surprised to see the storm over Iceland. We don't get a lot of global weather with the focus on what is headed for the US. Anyway, the hurricanes, or remnants, seem to be circling high pressure in the Atlantic. It looks like a displaced Bermuda high, and with that storm up at Iceland, there is basically a traffic jam. I can tell you that there has been little to no wind here for a couple of weeks, and the temperatures are fore cast for the 90s, about 20 above normal.
