Have to notch the end of the frame for the body to sit down a bit. I'll start building the body mounts tomorrow. Already have the measurements for the front 6, have to do the rear 8 still but have to get the body down first.

    20170828_165132.jpg
Top line will be the initial cut for the wheel tubs. It will end up being about 2" higher after I notch and bend the edge.

One of the other projects that is eating up $...
Dang 1/4 mile driveway is not gonna be cheap to gravel. But, its a freaking 1/4 mile long driveway, I shouldn't get too many unexpected visitors.

Notched the frame for the back of the trunk.

Final position of the body on the frame. Still have to tub it for the rear tires. Ill start that this weekend.

Once tubbed, I will relocate the 4 body mounts that are in the section that is getting removed.

Shes fully fendered now. Tuesday, I'll pick up the 6 body mount brackets from the machine shop and get it all tacked in place. I started on the rear mounts, but need to weld some nuts on the bottom so I dont have to try to reach through the fenders to tighten them down. Store closed before I realized I dont have the size nuts I want to use.
Atleast I got the wheel base right when I built the frame. Rear looks much better without the tires shoved forward in the fenders like it was from the factory.

Final cut for tubs done. Lots of work for 4" tubs.

Had a delay at the machine shop due to firefighting equipment having priority. Body mounts are now tacked in place. Had some custom steel spacers made to keep the body and body mounts centered on the bolts.
Tomorrow, I'll start unbolting everything and get ready to pull the frame out for welding the body mounts fully. Once the frame is out, I'll also be doing a bit of plating and boxing on the mounts and rails. Just kind of a PITA to do the work with the body on.

Body mounts completed. Time to start building the wheel tubs and firewall.

While I'm waiting for metal to get here, I cut out the firewall & part of the floor. I then put in the thump thump.
    20170915_134913.jpg 20170915_165015.jpg
Firewall will be recessed 6". I think I am going to build a below floor brake master/booster setup to keep firewall clutter down to a minimum.

Have to get different wheel studs, but it now has rear disc brakes.
    20170922_150214.jpg
Dont like having 4 spacers on each brake, so I plan to have a single one machined that supports the full width.

    Working on the tubs today.
Width will get trimmed down to match the inner fender with a 1" lip for folding over and welding.

Tubs marked for cutting. Decided to go with a 3" lip. That way I can add a hoop to the radius if it needs additional strengthening.
