My wife has a 2014 grand Cherokee. Last month the radiator split and was leaking. We had it replaced, and an A.C. test performed.

A.C. is holding the Freon with no leaks, the air is cold.

The problem is there is a increasingly louder darth Vader breathing noise when the air is on. Also, it developed a band aid smell as well.

    Any ideas?

^Did you resolve this? A piece of foam could have dislodged in the air ducts and gotten stuck on the evaporator.

No I haven't. Going to bring it to a mechanic next week. Is the evaporator accessible to check? Thanks for the reply

It should be possible to snake a borescope through the vents to inspect the evaporator. Physically accessing the evaporator requires taking apart the dash (several hours labor by a mechanic experienced with interior work).

You might want to have a look at the cabin filter. Its in behind the glove box. Also check to see if there is water dripping out of the bottom of the jeep in around the passenger side fire wall. If not your drain could be plugged
