Unfortunately. Work schedule and last minute wedding preparations give zero time to hunt. I’m just about to start formal obedience with my lab though which is going to be pretty fun

Preparing your own wedding? If so that will be good time! It is sad to miss close to a complete season but you'll be good to catch up next year! And dog training will be fun indeed! I'd like to bring my Doodle grouse hunting so he can have good time too and become my hunting partner!

Yessir wedding is next weekend and not bummed to miss teal season. Too hot and it’s only 2 weeks long. I get all of regular season to hunt the big ducks/geese.

Wow. Awesome. Do you have any video?

Can you give us the basic "how to" hunt with birds of prey?

Ya after seeing the internals of the A300 that's what drove me to the A400. I have friends that have "inertia" guns and they don't cycle everything. I know everything I have tried to shoot in the A400 it has shot. Haven't shot at a duck with it yet because our season isn't in yet but I have shot clays and SO far I love it . ..

I am avid, grew up in Arkansas hunting Timbers. Have been in it since I was big enough for my pop to wrap me up bring me along, I think I was 2 or 3 first time I ever went out.

Hunted all over the place to South/Central Texas, East Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas(SW & NE), LA. Recently moved up to CO (about a year ago) for work & starting to get on the dry field scene. Didn't get to hunt as much as I would've liked last season but had one good honker hunt. Hoping to get on them hard up here this season.

I don't have any video, but there are a ton on youtube. Here is one that isn't bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtjVu7yfILA
Hunting ducks with falcons is similar to jump shooting. You find some ducks on a pond or ditch. Turn the falcon loose. It climbs up high over the pond. You go in and flush. Falcon stoops, and if you are lucky gets one. I don't bring home a big string of ducks, but it is a lot of fun. My young falcon got one again this morning.

Man, that is awesome. Does the falcon get to make a meal of the duck?

I bring some other food, usually quail, with me and have the falcon step up to my fist and eat that instead. I eat the breast meat from the duck, and save the rest of it for falcon food during the off season. Duck is usually to fatty to feed them during the hunting season. Fat falcons don't hunt very well.
