    Aww, this brings me back!

Here's my post from almost 2 years ago.

I contacted Chris after he offered to help, and now 2 years later I'm over at his place like once a month working on something. I've learned a ton since then. And he's enabled me to build my truck way beyond what I ever thought I would do to it. (for better or worse lol)

Anyone one headed to the iron range? I've never been but want to check it out before winter.

I've haven't been on here much but I'm finally settled down in St. Cloud MN.

I would be down to go again, I think going with a group of people would be more fun than just going at it alone... with college and homecoming I wouldn't have any free weekends until sometime in October however

I was up there a couple weekends ago and I'm completely stock (although I guess the Baja package levels the truck if that counts), and I was able to complete a "black diamond" hill climb without too much difficulty at all.

I would say there is more than enough trails for a stock truck, and there shouldn't be any issues on the "easy" or even the "medium" trails.... I've heard that people even bring their Subarus and SUVs up there from time to time

I ended up with an extra set of lettering for the 3rd gen tailgate "TACOMA"

They were 38 plus shipping, happy to get to someone here for $30. Color is matte black.

These are the thicker "raised" letters, not just vinyl decals.

Anyone gone winter rooftop tent camping? Any suggestions on rooftop tents that may hold up better as well as provide better insulation for keeping heat in? I would be using a little buddy heater while awake.

Also wanted to post. I recently picked up a new Pro and immediately swapped the tires. Anyone interested in wheels with only 4 miles on them?

The thicker the fabric, the warmer it will be... and the hotter in the summer. When do you plan on camping most?

Invest in a good fart sack, and good cold weather gear. I am particularly attached to my military surplus 4-part sleep system. You can get them for under $120 if you shop around. They can't be beat for what you pay... or what you get for 3x the price.

    It's winter. Embrace the suck!

Oh to answer the question. I used my RTT for my deer stand.

Opened the back door, rested the tank barrel on my bag and stayed in my sleeping bag all morning. :)

wow cool video! thanks for taking the time and editing all this. I have a bunch of footage but I had been so busy the last 4 months between work and my dashcam channel I never got around to it. I didn't get nearly as much cool footage tho.

we need to plan another trip next may. i am saving all my vacation for next year year (it restarts end of june, my work anniversary).

I have an older toyota tacoma (2002) that has a bit of a lift that needs suspension work. The two places I took it are only wanting to do work on non modified autos. I live in Minneapolis and need to find a place before winter hits us! Any ideas?
