I bought this 99 Toyota Tacoma 4 x 4 new. I sold to my dad which put smaller tires on it. I recently bought it back. I think something was done to the suspension to make it lower my rear leaf springs are straight across instead of curved how can I tell if it was altered

    Leafs flatten with time/use.

Probably the same truck it was before, just more aged.

Leaf's flatten with age. Hell mine were almost flat when it was new. Toyota leaf's are shit.

    Btw, welcome to TW

why would we lie to you if you ask an honest question? if you asked a dumb question you'd get razzed, not lied to.

depends on the year. the first few years Toyota put 225/75/15 on them (4wd). later years (some 97 and 98+) were 31x10.5x15. you could go up to a 32x11.5x15 with slight rub at full turn.

leafs are barely arched when new. those dont even look that bad to me tbh. some guys let em get to the point where theyre frowning on the overload.

They're worn out son. Get new ones. Time to think about if you want to lift it, keep it stock, etc...

Looks like your ball joints are a little moist too (means they're leaking lube), might think about a whole drive train overhaul. Ball joints (upper and lower), tie rod ends, rack bushings. The whole nine. Youi could do it in bits and pieces, or save up for all the pieces and do it all at once.

How many miles are on it?
