Definitely bulged out. My TC bushings did the same. Eventually wouldn’t stop making noise and once I removed them I discovered one bushing was shot and the center sleeve was grinding on the outer washer is what my noise was.

My mistake, the bushing bulge in the back side is forward edge, as well.

Will do, but I find it hard to believe anything could be bent. I'm only just now getting the truck ready for serious wheeling. I've done only light to moderate wheeling. I don't even have a dent in the truck yet.

What do you have the bolt torqued to? Should be 85 ft/lbs. A dab of blue thread locker wouldn't hurt either.

I put this on my build thread but I'm putting it here as well because I'm super stoked about how it came out.

I've always wanted an overhead console to mount a mobile ham radio into. After watching countless hours of Ronny Dahl and other Australian 4wd youtube shows where they have all this cool shit with over head consoles I finally decided something must be done.

I spent way to much time drooling over http://www.consoles.com.au/Toyota_79Series_dual_troof.htm and others like it.

Finally I said "Fuck it, I'm going to make this shit work" (I said this outloud).

I found this thing on Amazon...but it's for an FJ cruiser...https://www.amazon.com/ARB-BRCFJ-Ou...506137805&sr=1-1&keywords=fj+overhead+console

After a whole bunch of cutting and trimming and drilling and cursing I made it fit and I jammed a BTech UV 50x2 into. I added a couple USB ports because why not? It has a switch for each of the map lights, a switch for the rear facing "dome" lights and a switch to turn on all 4 lights. I converted that 4th switch to turn on my forward facing camera. It works really really well. I'm really fucking happy about how it turned out.

I shoulda spent the money on upper control arms but now I can talk to the International Space Station if I really really wanted to.

So around the corner from my house there's a lady stalled in the middle of the road looking frantic. I pull over (with the 3 year old an dinner to go in tow) and offer to help push it. She cant get it out of park though, the shift lock is engaged. So I dig out her manual (car was like an episode of hoarders :puke:) and find the shift lock release. You have to pop the damn dash off, then the center console cover, then remove the worlds smallest ill-placed phillips screw and have leprechaun hands to reach the release lever. I had to leave when the cops got there 20 min later. They were calling AAA. I told her if it dies again put it in neutral and set the parking brake. All I could think was stupid automatics...

Sounds like a German car. Also, sounds like most women's cars.

Thought I torqued to spec. Can't remember off the top of my head. Did all four bolts the same and passenger side looks good.

.....anyone around the Walnut Creek/Lafayette/Pleasant Hill/Concord area surf? I would be down to carpool and surf. Both my surf bros moved away so i kinda been lookin for another surf bro. Doing interviews now lol

I usually surfed Pacifica for the last 15 years, but since about 2014 i been surfing Big Sur when i go. The landslides down there have put a hold on that but i am still down to surf Pacifica or Capitola if its big enough
