Changed plugs on my 2001, now it's running worse!

    I have a 2001 Tacoma. Has 134,125 miles, 5 speed, base everything, 4cyl.
I pulled NGK plugs out and the electrodes were eaten away even to the porcelain. The truck ran fine before. I replace with the same NGK plugs, new air filter, and an oil change. STP fuel injector cleaner in a full tank.
Now it will mostly stall when you first start it yet fire right up on the second try. I pulled into traffic and punched it in second gear only for it to act like it was redlining at 3500 rpm. And now it rough idles at stoplights. I used to love driving her but now I feel like she's cheatin' on me! Please help!

Did you use anti seize on the threads?

All the plugs were good. I did use anti seize.
But the problem turned out to be the maf sensor. I either damaged it while in there, cause I unplugged it to move the intake, or just a coincidence. But thanks for the replies and the help eliminating it down.

So fixed? Hoping so. That I know sucked when it was happening. I clean my MAF every year and when I pull the harness I always see moisture buildup inside the receptacle. Don't know why. I always dry that out with Qtips for fear that it'll play hell with the MAF..

Yeah it's fixed. But now it's making an unrelated noise in the engine bay. I'm gonna post a video tomorrow with more explanation. I read all the threads about alternator and steering pump noise but not sure is this is it. Sounds like a tambourine at times!
