Smoking While on a Incline

I keep a 1 quart container and fill into that and then pour from there into the engine. But mainly, just watch the dipstick.

Yeah, it's barely possible to read fresh oil on these shitty dipsticks anyway.

 

I like to find random pointers to jog the memory haha

 

Agreed, it's hard to see it cause the oil is so light.

Also, I've sat on some pretty good slopes, but I've never seen that smoke or the low oil light. You guys must be on some SERIOUSLY steep slopes. I'm afraid to go on those honestly

Also, I do photography and video, and I always love it when you are on something so steep you can't stand up on and someone says that a 2wd could do that. 2D flattens an image and makes it look a lot less intimating vs being there in real life.

Not sure what happened with my truck, it just shut down when going up a steep hill. It's only happened the once. Kinda scary though because the steering wheel locked.

 

Talked to a friend at work and he said it could be a valve seal or guide.

 

I'm not sure how to test this without taking it all apart

 

How did the plugs look?

 

I haven't pulled them yet, waiting till tomorrow.

 

Smoking on an incline.

 

So, still no luck on this. Honestly haven't had much time to think about it because I have been working so much.

I was talking with a guy at work yesterday and he had a interesting theory. He suggested because it was white smoke and that comes from oil or gas, but because the oil level was fine, he was leaning towards gas. He thought that maybe it was giving to much gas some was burning off and because the extra gas the pistons were pumping to high and hitting the block? (making the noise) He made it sound better, I just do not have any idea about engines.

He was also saying there was another part in the engine that might be making the clicking/knocking sound from the extra gas being forced in and burned off. I will be asking some more questions next time I see him!
