    Yeah none of that stuff would work for a tacoma or would be worth the work. The 16" sway aways would work for LT rear. Sway aways now has the reputation of "Stay Aways" they were bough out. Parts are going to be a pain to find eventually. Good shocks though. Racers would be the only guys who would buy them. Kings or Fox smoothies would be the best in 16" for someone just playing in the dirt.

    Those king coilovers would be a nightmare. The low bottom flat plate might tap your lower control arm at full droop. Also it is only an 8". That is bolt in to the stock coil bucket size. If you are doing an universal shock do a 10" like mine and chop out the coil bucket.

    No need to apologize I appreciate any advice :hattip:, it's been a while since I've looked at LT stuff for the truck with school stuff going on. Long run just something I can take fast through the whoops, nothing that crazy; probably 16 smoothies and a sua in the rear. The front I still need to look more into. I've been in Mike's truck and a couple other guys like nfs's rig and I really like Mike's setup.
    Damn haha, I need to start doing more researching again I took a break on all truck stuff while getting school back on track and guess I forgot. Thanks for the advice though, I'll keep an eye out for 16 fox and king smoothies and a 10 in the front.

    Let's wake this guy up from the dead. Made a driver side motor mount finally. Fits in nicely. New clutch and rear main seal. Also chopped out the transmission mount section. R155 should hopefully be plugged in today if I can get someone to help me today.

    I did the pro clutch. I think that was in there before. It looks just like the one I pulled out. I really liked the feel of the old one. Only change is an r155 throw out bearing.

    That's a huge bitch. Finally a real truck transmission. She bolted up. Time to fab the trans mount. Going to lower the existing mount and just weld on brackets. This will probably carry into next weekend.

    Great work man! Glad to see this finally coming together. Front and rear stiffer mounts, new transmission, will leave you feeling like it is familiar and yet so foreign.

    I wonder how the new gearing will affect the spool rate?

    Kinda curious how different it is going to feel. I know 4 th and 5th are the same ratio, but I think 1st thru 3rd is a bit different

    1st will be the same but 2nd will be longer and 3rd is shorter. This is why I haven't regeared yet.
