    I was doing some reading today in preparation for Rendezvous in the Ozarks and saw that the trail time will be sponsored/led by the Overland Challenge Series. I got to reading up on that and it sounds like a blast. I won't be running it this year because of some work conflicts but I may be looking for a team member or a team to tag along with next year.

    I'm currently planning on getting there early evening Thurs and packing up Sat evening or Sun morning. There's also a fly-in at Byrd's Adventure Center right down the road and I have some friends going to that so I may be back and forth.

    Looks pretty good. Question for you. Is that cooler filled with Ice and food/drinks going to be hard to get up on the platform? I've been thinking about making some type of sleeping platform. I have a pretty big heavy Kysek cooler and it would be very hard to get it on top...at least without help.

    What does it look like closed up? Does it create a lot of drag and noise? I was considering an RTT on top of mine, but finally talked myself out as I thought it would be to high on top of my camper shell.

    I haven't heard any noise or felt drag at highway speeds. I've put straps on the 4 corners of the Yakima bars and lift it right off with a 5:1 and hang it in the shop. Pretty quick and easy...

    It wasn't in the pictures. But I had a wooden platform before this one and went on trips where I have to lift it up onto the platform.
    The cooler does get a little heavy but I usually only move it in and out a few times a trip. Once or twice a day if traveling and then once at night and then load it back up the next morning. It's not to bad.
    If you have room in the cab, try just keeping it there. I might start doing that
