hey guys I've been looking around but haven't found much info I want to know if it's possible to lift my Tacoma and increase the tire size to 33s. I have the 2017 DCSB sr5 2.7 Taco and I love it but sometimes I wish I would have gotten a v6 so lifting it wouldn't be an issue but don't regret having the 2.7 at all. So what you guys think should I keep running stock or is it possible to lift my truck?

    • It’s possible to lift the truck.
    • You’ll have to trim and cut for 35”s.
    • Lifting doesn’t cause engine issues. It’s the bigger tires that ruin the gear ratio. In order for you to get decent mileage and not lug your engine so much, you’ll have to regear.
    • Regearing is expensive.

You have a few choices. You can keep it stock. You can lift it and go up to a 33” tire, and only trim minor things like the fender liner and mudflaps and maybe a CMC depending on Wheels you get. Or you can lift it, cut sheet metal, do a CMC, and toss on those bad boy 35”s, and regear.

Good luck and welcome to TW.

18" tires and rims, 2.75" Procomp lift, Fox shocks in rear.
Add a 3" inch lift, but go with smaller tires than 33's.
