Hello, I just bought a 2009 4x4 Tacoma SR5, & realized real quick I need a modification of the access cab back seat area back to the 05-08 era, and a Reese type hitch with light plug installed under it. I had a 05 SR5 TRD Sport Tacoma w/180k miles I traded in for this shiny Speedway Blue 09 4x4 Tacoma w/43k miles, but am trying to get things sort of back like I was use to. Theres a lot of differences between the two I didnt consider! My 4 legged co-pilot isnt happy with the back @ all, & doing research I came across this post on this site: "09 access cab rear seat conversion to 05-08", & could use someone "automotive technically inclined" to do this exact modification for me. Also, the truck didnt come with a tow package, so I need to get a hitch & wiring installed. Already I also see Ive cut my towing capacity by half....didnt think of that either before I bought this beautiful shiny blue truck...lol...so hopefully I'll be happy with my purchase in the long run, but @ this moment Im aggravated with myself! Anyway, as soon as I can get the things needed for the mod I'd like it done....like asap...lol. So, help getting the 05-08 seat mod pkg would be helpful if you have access to a junk yard ect. somehow, & I will be looking for what I need in junk yards in Jax or Sav and I can order the hitch or maybe find one local on CL. Any takers? How much for the labor? Thanks....DS

Good luck finding all those parts for the swap. Hopefully you can find a part out from a totaled truck and get some cheap parts.

Also wanted to say that you’ll want to add a trans cooler to the towing package as well, unless it’s a manual. The OEM towing packages came with trans coolers for the autos and they’re a great insurance to have.

Welcome to TW! Hopefully you get everything you need in time!

Hey, thanks for contacting me that's wonderful you're in Brunswick can you suggest a way short of me posting private contact information on a public site that we can communicate? I've already found most of what I need in Jacksonville, but would love to talk to you about the work....

Hi, I decided on a cheaper & easier route... plywood! I've ordered the hitch and wiring kit and someone local can install it pretty reasonable as well as my tinting so I appreciate all your help but I think I got this! Thanks!
