If you want to lift it for cheap get a Rough Country kit, very easy to install. If you want a real lift then do research on Old Man Emu coils or Eibach Coils. Id look at Wheelers Offroad or Low range off road if you have more questions with your lift. As for the diff lock, your in a prerunner bud! Maybe put a limited slip in it but otherwise just sell it and get a 4x4 and build that

Headstrong Offroad won't steer you wrong in terms of adding a lift. Good info on powertrax will come up with a google search. The biggest issue is when it engages on the freeway. If you want to convert your truck to 4x4 you can find a wrecked first gen or parts off of one for less than $1k and bolt them in - it's different than the second gens where you'd have to cut out cross members and weld them back in.
