Seattle area ski and board meet ups

You probably saw me drive by. I posted up at at my parents house at exit 32, but did a drive by to exit 34 to see what the deal was or if they where going to let some people up. I saw a few tacos parked playing the waiting game. Shred on today tho!

 

I was on the offramp shoulder. Had a blast listening to the truckers on the CB haha.

Just discovered this thread. I do mainly night runs at Stevens during the week. Ready for the snow!!

 

Friday could be opening day at Crystal...assuming the forecast holds true! Still wont be enough snow for most of the mountain to open Im sure though but be a dang early opening

My little ski club is talking about Bachelor, Crystal, and Stevens all being open this weekend. I am planning on heading to Stevens Friday morning.

Just saw Crystal's update! As much as I want to skip work tomorrow, I'm going to wait until Friday when they have Rex and Chair 6 open. Looks like the only lifts open tomorrow are Chinook and Forest Queen.

 

Alex, you are pretty competent do you do hike ups like Olympic bowl or south Side? Kris is out for the season ( new $1k boots last season, figures....) and my other regular guy hates walking even if it’s only 5-10minutes. While I mostly ski crystal or whistler, am looking to do Stephen other areas like Schweitzer and even some of the local places like mission as I’ve never done in 17 years up here.
BTW, this will be my 47th season! I have skied at least once a year since I was 6! I missed 1year when I was on my boat in Mex., or it would be consecutive.

I used to. Sold my gear a few years back now. Don't have time for it like I used to.

 

Yup. Though I didnt get out last year into the backcountry.

The girl got new boots this year after going up once last year. She did pretty well for not having skied in a couple years and before that not really having gone much past greens/easy blues.


Not sure if ill head up Friday or not. I already have all of next week off. Might try to head up Sat or Sun though

 

Baker announced earlier today that they are opening Thursday... the same day I am going to graveyard shift on mandatory 7 days/week for 2-3 weeks
