The same shit everyone else has.

Thanks for the tip. Ill have to look into them.

Ive thought about a small heater, but I dunno how much I trust using a propane heater in the soft topper. I may switch to sleeping in a tent in the colder months so I can set up a smaller propane heater in the corner. A tent is just more shit to lug around though.

THe little buddy heater would be fine. Has a tip over and a CO2 shutoff. I use it in my tent and shell all the time.

Thats the one I was looking at. Unfortunately the air mattress I use takes up the whole foot print of the bed so I dont have a solid surface to put it on. I wonder If I could hang it or build a lil platform for it.

Another thing I was wondering is if I could insulate the Supertop.

Ideally, Id love to trade up from a soft topper to a fiberglass shell. I check Craigslist daily in hopes of finding a deal

    and...
Stay hydrated - I pound a liter of hot half gatorade before bed when camping cold
Boil a second Nalgene and toss it in your sleeping bag about 15min before you turn in (preheats the bag)
Use a pee bottle - different shape than water bottle so you don't mix them up!
    Take an ibuprofen before bed
Drink the hot bottle in the middle of the night-don't get out of the bag!
    Grease your nose/lips-vaseline, blistex etc.

Don't use a heater in a tent or cap, you'll just gas yourself

Insulate your cap and bed - that mylar foam works well

Seal all the cracks, get that tailgate gasket thing or buy door/window stuff at HD/Lowes

Multiple layers of insulation (closed cell foam) on the bottom and cut a chunk of carpet to fit

Sorry man, but the wife doesn't look happy in that pic... it just made me laugh, the way she appears to be headed 'anywhere but here'.

You can hang a Little Buddy heater - couple hose clamps around the handle and some decent lightweight chain

It also has some 'keyhole' slots on the back for wall mounting - get a hunk of metal and figure out a bracket

I was a blast! Luckily, our vacation was planned the same time the hurricane was hitting south Texas.
