    So yeah, I've talked about this in the LEO thread but forgot to post it here. My father's officer, and family friend, Charleston Hartfield, was killed late Sunday night in the horrendous tragedy. As of today, he was transported from the corners office and escorted to Palm Mourtuary. Thursday night, LVMPD will have a memorial and remembrance at Police Memorial Park behind NW area command off of Cheyenne. Even though Charleston was off duty with his wife attending the concert, it is known as the shooting unfolded he did act as if he was on duty getting others to safety before his own life was taken. 59 dead and hundreds injured, all because of one man, if that's what you can call him. What scares me more, is it was pre meditated. Don't mind the weaponry he had, Mr. Paddock set up cameras outside his hotel room to cover his bases, an insane man.
    This has hit us all hard but we are moving on and moving forward. The FBI is doing a lot of the investigation now because it is an act of terror. Rest In Peace Charleston and may the other 58 rest in peace and comfort, no one is forgotten.

    BTW, since some of the LEO guys found his book, I'll link it here as well. It is a great read on the stuff police deal with within this city. He signed a couple copies I have not to long ago. Last time I saw him before Sunday night was maybe a week ago. TBH it's weird knowing he's gone and it doesn't get better after this. Not only was Charleston with LVMPD for 12 years, he was also a military reserve, a published writer, and coached his sons sports teams.
