I work for the Brunswick Parks & Recreation Department. We are located at the former fitness center of BNAS, now officially named Brunswick Landing. When were you last stationed at BNAS?

I was in VP-26 and returned from deployment in June of 2010. I separated at the same time.

So you were there right before BNAS closed down. Redevelopment is going well, although it still looks a lot like a ghost town compared to the times when there was a large population stationed there.

That sucks. I was concerned that Brunswick/Topsham would suffer from the closure.

not really an old car per se but daughters car was giving her fits and running rough, throwing a code for misfire. Changed the coil (no coil packs) and it turns out the spark plug wire is bad/leaking. I would have changed the sparkplug wires first had I heard/seen the faulty wire:goingcrazy::frusty:. I did look briefly look at the wire but I didnt hear it popping so I figured it was good... should fix with new wires...

I like it. I really want to build skirts for my '40. But that will be after I extend my fenders a bit.

hey old car guru's, got a question maybe you guys can help. In a 6volt to 12volt conversion is there a 6volt points or 12volt points? Im trying to help a neighbor, on an 8n tractor conversion. The instructions are simple but vague. Looks like they have a 12volt coil but it doesnt mention anything about points or changing them. has about 6volts at the coil across the leads.

there is a ceramic resistor, so should it have a 12volt coil also with the resistor? I'll tell them about the electronic ignition.

Ignition wire to ballast resistor. Ballast resistor to coil pos. Coil neg to distributor. Distributor to ground.
With the resistor, there shouldnt be an issue. Tell your neighbor to make sure the points are clean and to check for carbon spikes on the points when servicing it.
