Who knows Sacroiliac Joint pain? Been dealing with this for over a year now but not officially diagnosed. There is a constant burn deep in my left cheek after sitting for more than 15-20 minutes. Something like extremely bad sunburn would feel.

I spend most on my day standing or kneeling while at work. Walking is about the only way I get any relief, but as soon as I sit down the burn comes back with a vengeance. Forget driving more than 20 minutes or sitting in my boat or kayak, fishing. Constantly weight shifting to my right side and beginning to feel effects from that now. If it weren't for prescription sleep meds, I couldn't not rest at night.

Not sure if these is truly the problem and haven't been officially diagnosed. This is just what the last ortho doctor "thinks it might be". So far I've had Physical Therapy from two different facilities. Have had a total of seven steroid injections from Dr's at Ortho Practices, and Pain Management Clinics, in attempt to address suspected 'inflammation of the joint", along with tons of pain meds and still no relief. Now I'm scheduled for yet another injection next week.

Totally at my wits end right now. Quality of life sucks. Dr's seem not to be interested in going above and beyond..... "Here's a shot, here's some drugs, hopefully this one will work"," we'll have you back in two weeks".

Been staying local to my area, central Georgia, due to the pain involved in driving, but am just about ready to go as far as necessary.

What you need is a really good sports medicine massage. that works on Knots and trigger points and do minor adjustments for your SI.

Stuff you can do at home is rolling a soft ball where it hurts and around it, you should feel the muscles being penetrated, once you hit a sore spot stay with it in small circular motion and take deep breath till the soreness subside.

ive had si joint pain for a while, but i recently got an MRI and learned that i have a buldging l5 s1 disc, which is what is causing inflammation in my SI joint area. It started as SI joint pain only but eventually radating pain down my leg begun. Mine is from rowing though, and im only 19.

    Same as everybody else...
I'm 57 yo and try to stay active by cycling, jogging or hiking. I messed up my back a few months ago cycling a big hill and my doc thinks something shifted in my back like maybe a disk that is pinching or aggregating a nerve.I have extreme pain standing that runs from my right buttock thru the knee and to my ankle. Usually the mornings are the worse and by midday almost pain free. Stretching and walking seems to help. I have an appt with a PT in 2 weeks and we'll see how that goes, I miss not being able to do anything active except walking in the woods. This pain is no b.s., I feel sorry for anyone that suffers with sacroiliac pain.

Sorry to awaken an old thread, but I wanted to throw in my 2 cents...

I aggravated my left SIJ and the only 2 things that have "cured" it are my inversion table + lifting weights -- some stretches helped, but reducing cardio to almost nothing (except rope skipping on occasion) and only focusing on getting my body stronger have DRAMATICALLY reduced the flare-ups...my quads/hamstrings/glutes/lower back/core are much more stronger now

Just FYI... I had what myself and the doctor and chiropractor all thought was SI joint inflammation for a few years. Finally got an MRI and had a ruptured disc that was basically a medical emergency. Had surgery and haven't had "SI joint" pain since.
