I know lots of places sell rims but a stock size with 44 offset is impossible to find.

Looking for rims & TPMS for a 2017 Toyota Access Cab SR5 TRD off road 4WD
    If I got it right, currently has - 265 75 16 / 44 offset / 6x139.7 pattern

To make it worse I'm in Canada but the first hurdle is where to find 'em

    Any (good) tips much appreciated

    cheers

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I take it that 44 is mm? Which would make it a 1.75-ish offset.

I don't think your factory offset is +44mm

Also with the way the factory wheels are made vs aftermarket cast wheels, if you bought a wheel with "stock" offset it would hit the brake calipers.

Not meant to pass the buck but I got the 44 offset from service at the Toyota dealer where I just bought the truck. Never seen it in writing though. Also I don't see the tire size listed in the chart (nb engine is a 6) but the rim code is the same anyways on 16s - is the ET 25 offset?

Honestly, best way you can do this to ensure you have the correct specs is to measure it yourself.
Take one wheel off and lay it flat on the ground, put a straight edge across the back of the wheel and measure down to the hub mounting location. This will give you the back spacing. From there you can calculate the offset.

I called a different dealer and he told me 15 to 25 offset so I have no idea where the first dealer got his numbers!! Also explains why a 44 offset rim does not appear to exist. Time to play will the TPMS work with the rims.
Big thanks to eccracer104 and splitbolt for the replies which are bang on!
    cheers mates

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
What model is this you ask about "2017 Toyota Access Cab SR5 TRD off road 4WD" ?? I thought a SR5 was that and a Off road was that? They are different trucks -- maybe I am mis-thinking this? They come with different wheels from the factory -- are you saying the offset is the same?
Also I take it, you are wanting something diff from stock?

Invoice says "2017 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab V6 SR5 6A" and "TRD Offroad Package" is listed as an $$ option.

I just wanted to get a good set of snows on rims (preferably that I liked) to make for an easy switch in fall and spring. It seems rims with the recommended offset and correct bolt pattern may but probably won't clear the brakes. I'm no wheel guy but shocked I can't find a dealer or shop that can sell me rims with correct OEM fit............

Why not just buy a set of used OEM rims for your snows. That's what I do. Lots of people upgrade their wheels and sell their stock rims and a lot of them are essentially brand new.

Getting the TPMS to work with summer and winter wheels is a whole other story.

From what I read as long as you don't bring the steel wheel sensors into the picture --you will be fine. I have read somewhere here that some 4runner sensors will not work with the Tacomas--whether this true or not, I don't know.
AS far as finding wheels -- make sure you check your local dealers --several in Mo. deal very well in OEM take-offs.
