I'm quite happy with my icons. I don't like the body roll and mushiness associated with the kings. Icons on the street feel almost as stiff as OEM TRD Sport shocks in terms of body roll/dive but they take hits very well. If you do a lot of fast washboard stuff people like the fox/kings. I do slower, technical trails. Plus, when I air down, it soaks up a lot of the little bumps as well. I've had zero issues with mine and have about 3.5k on the shocks with a couple of good wheeling trips on them so far.

one of those great debates! I still have yet to talk to many, if anyone, who have gone from icon to king or fox.

ADS is without a doubt the superior option if you are worried about rust/corrosion. They have a ceramic coating in top of using higher grade aluminum.

That's the difference between progressive vs digressive suspension. 10k on Foxes and 5k on the Kings both not one issue. No need to notch the rear shock tower buckets either! Kings customer service.... #1 everytime i go to their werehouse

Fox 2.5's in the front. They're standard travel and feel great on the street. On rocky trails they're too soft and bouncy at low speed. Sending them to @Downsouth Motorsports next week to get revalved, converted to ext. travel and possibly swap to stiffer springs.

Fox 2.5's w/remote reservoir in the back. No issues whatsoever. They were really stiff initially. I removed the overload leaf and tossed in Icon's progressive aal and couldn't be happier.

Wish I had a backup set. Waiting on spacers to arrive so I can maintain ride height while the Fox's are getting serviced.

Also got a shiny set of Total Chaos UCA's from the UPS man today. They'll go in when I get my coilovers back.

I know about 6 people on here who made the switch!

Im kind of surprised you say this as this is normally the reason why folks go with King or Fox as its more forgiving the slower you go. Typically Icons feel better with speed as they are digressive, unless yours are specifically valved to be different from the stock icons. Dont get me wrong, I got kings for my LT set up as I like speed going through stuff, but King/fox are what many of the desert guys use although its still possible to run icon stuff with LT.

I love my Icon's. If you do light off roading and a lot of long distance traveling, digressive shocks aren't a bad option.

I would argue that that is exactly the design intent of Icons for the OEM shocks. I do like the ride of my kings on road though, although I know some dont like that soft on street.

To each their own haha. I have a question, has anyone run a progressive shock/coils in the front and digressive shocks in the rear? Or is that not a thing? Trying to learn.

I know I have seen guys ask before, but many go against it. If you are mainly street then the front will dive a little but shouldn't be a problem. If you still have your sway bar I wouldn't see an issue. I assume you already have a digressive rear set up? Are you looking to go with something else than your icons or are you going to get them progressively valved?

No it's not for me, I'm just curious to see if people actually have that set up and if so, why?

Yes some do just for the fact the weight in the bed of the truck can vary. I know a few that have icons up front and fox or king in the rear with resi. Not unheard of.
Edit. The digressive shock really likes the bed to be loaded up to get the ride to smooth out.

That's why I got the digressive valving; it might be a little too stiff in the slow stuff for some, but some people with icons like to swap to king's softer springs to get best of both worlds.

It would make more sense to run digressive up front and progressive in the rear with all the weight (on an empty bed) up front.

I like my FOXs, but yes, they corrosied quickly (recervoirs and hose connectors). I have the older versions, not the black ones.
