So, I just got this '15 AC. My brother got a pair of Orion XTR Series 2 10s in an enclosure years ago as payment for some work.
They've been in our mom's garage for years. Thought they were subs and I'd use one in my Taco. Now I'm having doubt whether they are subs.
    Any input?

Those are definitely subs. It's older-school. Looks like a butyl surround so they aren't THAT old. Sensitivity tended to be higher in the older subs so thing thing on 500 worms in a proper enclosure would work nicely. They aren't worth much, but it's hard to beat free. Might be worth a push test & sticking a meter on 'em to see if the coils are still good before bothering with anything else though.

Good to know. Not looking for 'worth much', just if they'd work.
Not sure exactly what 'Sensitivity tended to be higher in the older subs so thing thing on 500 worms in a proper enclosure would work nicely.' means, but it definitely is hard to beat free!

    heh, 'this thing'.

translation - as long as it's in good condition it should work nicely in a proper enclosure with the recommended power.

Ah, gotcha. Got a couple of amps that might do the trick. All older stuff that my bro got in trade. Just sitting around unused, waiting for a cheap bastard that wants some better noises in his car.
