I bought my Taco second hand, so I don’t have the original window sticker.

A thread and manual search didn’t give me the answer I’m looking for.

Is there a definitive way to know if your truck has the tow package?

Open the hood and look for a small transmission oil cooler in front of your radiator!

If you got the factory Hitch with 7 Pin Trailer Connector & the transmission cooler its highly unlikely someone just added a cooler!

I wasn't referencing every part, just if all you check to see is if you have a cooler, you might just have a cooler.

Check the certification label on driver-side door post... if GCVR is only 3500 lb. more than GVWR, you don't have tow package. If GCVW is 6500 ~ 6700 lb. more than GVWR you do have tow package.

I checked my 2014 Taco for this info; it lists a GVWR of 5500 lbs, but does NOT show GCVR nor GCVW. Is it listed somewhere else?

If you look at a 2014 tacoma brochure, if you have a 2.7, you don't have a factory tow package. It wasn't offered, 3500lb rating.

The pakage was optional on the v6,

    TOWING,23 MAXIMUM (lb.) (SAE J2807 towing rating-compliant)
Class-IV towing receiver hitch, transmission and supplemental oil coolers (transmission cooler not available
on manual transmission models), 130-amp alternator, heavy-duty battery, 7-pin connector with converter,
    and Trailer-Sway Control (TSC)26 (V6 only) – – – P – P P
    Tongue load (4-cylinder/V6) 350 350 350 350 350 350/– –/–
    Tongue load (V6 with V6 Tow Package) – – – 650 – 640 630
    Towing capacity (4-cylinder/V6) 3500 3500 3500 3500 3400 3500 3500
    Towing capacity (V6 with V6 Tow Package) – – – 6500 – 6400 6300

Some dealers installed hitches, Called it a tow package. Some would do a hitch and a cooler, do the same.

OK, so there's a typo; GCVR should be GCVW. Still don't have the info, though.
