I love this knife and I've recently lost my griptillian, so I might pick it up. What is the deep carry clip you speak of?

I have a bunch of knives but my EDC is a Spyderco Manix II Lightweight. I didn't know if I would like size, design, action, blade shape or poly frame... but they are all so functional it quickly became my favorite pocketknife. $50 from an Ebay auction. I think of it as my "Glocketknife".

Worth every penny. Grayman knives are meant to be used. Task I used the SATU on would break most fixed blades lol.
He uses quality materials unlike Emerson and other production knives. Each their own my friend.

I have been carrying a Todd Begg Steelcraft mini Bodega for the last few months. It is just about the same build quality as the his customs but at a price that doesn't make you cringe every time you use it..

I love my SOG Trident. I just carry it on my person when I'm overseas, though.

    My SOG kilowatt.
Had it for more than a year, use it everyday for work. Blade seems to dull a little easier than expected but a good knife.

That is the most laughable review I’ve ever read. If that makes anyone spend $400 then they’re twice as dumb as the author who ran those “tests.”

Cool looking knife, stronger than most fixed blades? Lol. Maybe if Soldier of Fortune knife reviews are your thing.

And you are an expert? The review was no bullshit IMO. Unlike other reviewers who go on how cool it looks. Some of us don't mind spending money for a quality piece of gear that will last a lifetime and not fail.

    Spare me.

5 of these “tests” didn’t involve cutting and could’ve been accomplished with a rock. Cutting tests were crates and boxes, and 2” of hemp rope.

Find me any modern knife that can’t cut those things with a fresh blade.

Couldn’t care less how you spend your money, or what you buy with it, but please don’t dilute your brain into thinking this is a no bullshit review of a knife. It’s the worst piece of gear testing nonsense I’ve ever read. The real shame is not watching some hapless twat rolling down a hill to see if his knife falls out.

Has nothing to do with what you buy or like, but citing that review for justification is sad.

On the hill test I have slipped and slid down inclines and lost kit. IMO the testing of the clip was valid. The author did write that he did camp task which probably consisted of cutting.
What knife do you recommend to the OP? How about a quick review to help out the OP?
Instead of derailing the thread about a review.

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, rear bumper, and skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
I like SOG but I find their pocket clips to be crappy,:annoyed: they bend easily and never seem to hold the knife in my pocket.

Benchmade is the way to go. :bananadance:

    Like, so many.
I have so many knives I might have a problem. For around $30 Kershaw has some great options. The Skyline is a classic.
I carry my ZT 0450cf more than anything else. It’s very slim which is important to me.
But the mini griptillian and Spyderco Native 5 get carried a lot too.
