    Depends on how much he likes to toot his horn but it's not static like a locker and each toot takes a bite. If it's just for normal horn use then it might last weeks but if it's the flight of the bumblebee then might not get through the day.

    I got the ARB twin, and won't be running lockers.

    I want a simple switch next to the compressor.

    What's the easiest way to do that? Can I use the stock switch and harness without it being all crazy?

    The harness that comes with the twin has extra stuff for lockers that you don't need.

    The twin has built in relays, so all you need to do is wire up the 10ga red wires to +12v on your battery, ground the 8ga black wire, and connect the small purple wire to your switch output.

    Thank you.

    My power harness is already all connected.

    I'm having a hard time picturing how just the purple wire getting power would turn on the compressor, but I'll try it when I get home.

    The purple wire activates both relays.

    You do also need to wire up your switch of course.

    Yes, I did the same thing with my single, switch is in a wee little box under the hood. Compressor is on a Slee mount.

    Okay, so switch still needs a "on with ignition" power.

    I was hoping to avoid that, but oh well.

    That is optional. The switch needs power from somewhere, but it's up to you if you want it to be able to run with ignition or not.

    A jumper from the 10 guage main power feed to the switch supply is all you need.

    I know it’s not air related but what gauge wire did you run for the winch from the solenoids
    Was it a kit or did you just do it yourself?

    Fatter is better, winch power is related to how much current can be fed through those cables.

    Most winches come with 4 gauge when new. Don't use anything less than that.

    When I moved my solenoid box to under the hood, I replaced all of that with 2 gauge welding cable.
