I bought an SR5 Double Cab 4x4 this week.

It came with Firestone Destination LE 245/75R16 on it.

The ride on this truck is amazing compared to the Nissan Frontier Double Cab 4x4 that I've driven the last 10+ years. The last two sets of tires I had on the Frontier were Destination AT (265/50R16 was the size, if I'm remembering correctly).

I really, really like the looks of these Destination MT2's. I want to put a set on my new Tacoma.

What size can I get away with ? I don't want rubbing or fitment issues.

What impact do you think I'll have on fuel economy ?

The AT's would be more in line with the balance of my driving....but, hell man...those MT2 look freaking great.

With a 3" lift and cab mount chop you can fit 285/75R16's easily. I was able to fit 315/75R16's (34.8") with a big CMC and some minor trimming of the plastics. If you don't want to start cutting on your truck, 265/75's will fit nicely and have minimal impact on fuel economy.

Ive got 285/70/17 and love the look of the bigger tire. I have done a cab mount chop though and cut a good bit of plastic. If you have a 16 inch rim and dont want to do any cutting go for the 265/75/16. They will look alot better compared to those 245’s you have

Damn, these look pretty good! How's the wet traction? Do the sipes go full-depth? It rains more than it shines where I live.

Road noise is very low and no howling from these tires. I have about 3k on them now.

Fantastic. Have either of you two hit snow yet with these bad boys? Or is that soon to come?

These look like a great tire, I wish the 315/70/17 was closer to a 35" though. At 34.4" out of the mold I can't get onboard with them.

Glad they are working for yall down south!
