Aftermarket Leaf Recommendations

Got 05 prerunner with 5100s at 2.5 up front. Currently have 3 leaf crap pack + 1.5 AAL out back. Looking to get some better leafs with or without using AAL to beef up the back with. Right now the truck sits almost level but nose high if hauling anything much. Would like about 2" lift over stock to give it just a bit more rake but more importantly be able to haul stuff without going nose high immediately AND one side looks to be sagging a bit now so these just gotta go. Suggestions for a bit more lift and load handling? Not really looking for major flex capabilities for rock crawling offroad craziness since this is a prerunner. Please spare me the timbren or other airbag stuff, just want better leafs for levelness and a bit of load handling and something that'll last without total abuse. Been looking at Deaver, AllPro, ProComp and such but wanna hear about experiences.

So... What lift up front? How long have you had these? How rowdy you get with them offroad? Have you hauled or towed much with them? How is ride compared to oem 4 leaf? Are they still level from lft to rt?

I have had these rear springs for a little over a year I think... I used to get about as rowdy as you would want to get with a DC LB offroad with these. They flex great and ride like a Cadillac with the skyjacker N8045 shocks. I have not towed with these springs but I did haul my ATV quite a few times before I sold it. These springs are not an "extra load carrying" spring, They are made to OE specs (tsb springs, the correct weight capacity) with the addition of the lift. They are still holding up great, a little squeaky at times but that is easily fixable, I just dont care any more.

 

Yeah, that's what little stuff I've found so far with search in other threads and poking around on manufacturer sites. Thanks for heads up. Wanna be able to haul some, not tons, but still be levelish doing it and definitely no lean to either side looking at it from the back when unloaded. Guessing one of my AALS is starting to sag a bit on drvr side. Wasn't that way when first added. That or my 3 leaf crap pack is crapping some more........

How much lift in the front over oem? I did haul right at 1500 lbs one time but not on any kind of regular basis. Just wanna haul my bikes/kayaks/camping gear/copilot mostly, without it being stressed.

 

I can only recommend what I have experience with, but think about going with Alcan's. They'll make a spring to suite you exactly, whatever you ask for. The amount of lift, the load you're carrying, whatever. I had a set for 3 years, so this was about 5 years ago, but at the time it cost about $600 total, including shipping. I think the springs themselves where about $250 each.

 

2.75" lift in front. I wouldn't think that load would stress anything to badly. There are going to be sacrifices no mater what when you look at buying springs. If you want a sweet ride then your going to give up some load capacity. If you want load capacity you are going to give up some ride quality. No matter what you do your not going to get a spring that retains 100% of the lift with any type of load in the back.
