Just sharing my experience here too in case it helps anybody out or gives an idea for somebody......

Learned myself how to powdercoat in my garage. Its fairly easy and not super expensive either. Pretty cool stuff it came out good. Not a Tacoma part but it worked amazing and is SUPER tough. Wish I knew how to or did this years ago. Tow hook off my CTS-V. Next up is the calipers......

That will do much better than a manual one. GFB's manual one would even be better than the eBay junk.

I had a Greddy Profec BII. With it I could have the boost threshold lowered in the rpm range, by keeping the wastegate closed completely until regulated boost was realized. It was a very nice component.

That would be a nice feature. My wastegate cracks open even before I get into boost (as indicated on boost gauge) while accelerating. The wastegate reference is at the turbo outlet, and my boost controller is referenced at the manifold though. So no suprise it's happening. At the same time it makes a nice smooth acceleration, it's doesn't just hit all at one. I feel like it may be saving driveline parts.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I've got a large Oster countertop oven I don't use anymore. I'm considering getting a and put a inline to a shop vac.

@j0shu4 that looks really good. I thought you had a fancy high dollar powdercoating oven, then I looked closer and it's just a toaster oven on it's side LOL

You can install an extension pipe bit that screws into the o2 sensor bung on the exhaust pipe, then install the o2 sensor into that extension. So it basically lifts the o2 sensor a couple inches out of the exhaust pipe which allows the rear o2 to receive way delayed readings and therefore trick it into thinking that your cat is working. It’s called a spark plug defowler I think.

For anyone who was wanting to know about the 2TR-FE turbo manifold and DP...

After some conversations back and forth, the supplier has agreed to sell single quantities the way they did mine (residential shipping to keep costs low) for anyone else who would like the manifold and DP that OzBoost uses in their "kit".

My cost with shipping was $370 for both the manifold and DP. Shipping will differ based on location, but it SHOULD be somewhere in the range of $275 for the products, and around $90-100 for shipping to the US. I haven't received my set just yet, but I believe it should be here sometime late this week to early next week, though I am in no rush.
If you'd like to go further, just PM me your PayPal email and shipping information so they can invoice you. Below I've attached proof of the conversation between myself and an extremely helpful (and patient) representative from the supplier.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me or reply here! Let's get some more turbskies on 2nd gen 4-bangers!

Is it normal for AFRs to go rich when you let off the throttle ?

Mine, even bone stock will do that for a brief moment as soon as I let off. Then it'll lean itself out from decel fuel cut.

What controls the fuel cut ? I wonder if its possible to get random fuel cut briefly.

I believe the TPS controls fuel cut on decel. My truck also runs pig rich on decel, but it didn’t used to before I replaced my TPS. I replaced it with a no-name oreily’s brand sensor and I have been regretting that for a couple years now.
