I do have the afe dry drop in filter in. So short of a snorkel I guess the CAI's are just a noise box! :angrygirl:

Please please do not do that shit. It was a retarded idea that does squat for performance and just adds unnecessary pollution. Zero to gain from that. You already did the best mod to your airbox that there is.
A header is also not gonna do much in the situation you mentioned. Could look into the URD supercharger but to the tune of $5K and need for premium gas you'd be better if trading to the thirstier V6. Just don't get the new ones because those have no power either...
Or just be happy with your truck and mpg. How often do you really have to dodge idiots like that?

Well as much as I'd like to move a little faster I don't want to spend 5k to do so! Lol... I've had the v6 Tacoma and though I loved the uppity go of it it did suck a lot of gas and with my circumstances at the time I couldn't keep it. When things were better for me I opted for a 4cyl from previous experience and I do love the mpg's, just don't like the slower response. It's not bad though and for the most part I am used to it just got a little scared with that crazy driver and me trying to get out of the way.!

    2015 DCSB 4cyl prerunner...
    265/70/17 on 17x8.5 -10offset American outlaws wheels.
    Stock suspension
    "minor" inner fender trimming.

I grew up in Upper Michigan and learned to drive in snow. That's all it takes... learn to drive.
I don't go offroading and used 4wd so little times on my previous vehicles... figured why spend the money.
PA winters can be rough at times, but i take my subaru out for snowy days.

What was your original tire size? Did you notice any power loss if you went up in size (which I assume you did)?

I had the most basic, cheapest truck I could find in double cab.
    245/75/16. Was stock.
Not much different on the low end. Upgrade on a highway and it wants to downshift, but I don't get out on the big roads much.20170825_150911.jpg

Mine is the same except it came with 265/65-17 due to the TSS pkg. But yes, it hates going over 70mph. Considered stepping up to 265/70 when these wear out but dont want it to go any slower than it already does.

Looks like that is approximately the same size change as mine... about an inch, give or take based on the tire brand.
You'll have to check on actual diameters for each brand, they can vary by manufacturer. sometimes a lot... 1/2 inch or so.
Sometimes a more aggressive looking tire in the same size is just as nice.
And like I said in my original picture... I cut out and inch or so of the inner fender due to rubbing and if I hit my driveway at a certain angle they touch still.
