For whatever reason, my new to me 3 year old trucks rubber trim looks like over cooked bacon on all horizontal stripping around the windows. So I decided to take care of it. First I taped off the areas so paint won't get damaged. Then I grabbed a Mr Clean Magic Eraer and some grease lightning. Didn't take much at all and the speckled trout finish was gone. After completed, I'm gonna treat with 303 Protectant.

Rather than 303 you could use something more permanent. Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant or Ultima Trim and Tire Guard would hold up much better than 303.

Those products are available on Autogeek.com and maybe Amazon. The trim sealants will give you several months of protection.

My trim still looks good, I just put some silicone spray on a paper towel wipe it down when I wash my truck. I also use this occasionally on the rubber door seals around the interior of the door, just don't get it on the windows. It keeps them looking nice, the rubber will usually absorb the stuff and I haven't ever had any issues with an oily residue. The 303 should do good as well.

I second this. Go with something more permanent. Rubber finishes go bad from UV sub exposure and detergents most people use when washing the truck. Want to avoid using any harsh cleaners that dry out rubbers frequently. A more permanent dressing will help prevent that.

303 is the ArmorAll of TacomaWorld. Better products out there that will last longer and protect better.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Tried wet sanding with a small 2500 grit sandpaper today and came right off. Now just need a good trim sealer.
