That's a good price, I think. Might want it as a spare. Who rebuilt it and what was all done in the process?

How many splines is this one? From my understanding, there are a few different configurations. Mine is 29 splines and some other tacomas are 30 splines...

Whaaat? All 4x4 Tacomas from 2005 to current can use this part. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I would bet the house that's the case

It may be that it's only for the 2016 and up tacomas. Or me or someone doesn't know how to count and/or I got bad info form the interwebs, but that's what I've read. I've counted mine when I rebuilt them to go long travel extended axles and they were 29 grooves (valleys) and 30 teeth.

If you read it in TW it's bullshit. Haha, Then the hub assembly would have to be different too and given that nothing else there has really changed I doubt Toyota mixed things up

I should've clarified mine have 29 valley's and 30 teeth. I guess that would be 30 spline? haha oops. But there have been others who have said they have 29 splines. I think it's just the way ppl are counting and what they're calling a spline.

I counted 30 teeth,I personally pulled it out of the truck myself,a wrecked 2012 Toyota Tacoma, the shaft is steel,it has a nut on the end,its still got the black paint on it,its 27 inchs long, its about 1 1/4 inchs round. And I know it fits in 2008 Tacomas because we had it in my brothers Tacoma for a few (before the rebuild) when his axle went south on a road trip.
