so the other day I had trouble starting up my 05 Taco. This happened 3x where it’d just keep igniting then finally start up. Then when I would take past 60mph on the freeway it would all of a sudden lose gas and just drop to 0. The truck wouldn’t die on the freeway just stop gassing then I’d have to pull it over to the side of the road and start her up again. This has happened twice. No trouble starting it anymore but I’d like to know what’s occuring. Any ideas ? This happened last Saturday

Assuming your check engine light is on like your thread title says, get the codes read and report back.

It could be a s simple as the brake switch actuating when driving which the ECU would shut down the throttle response.

As suggested, go to a mechanic or auto parts store to get the codes read. It's possible that no codes appear, but this is a good place to start. Welcome to TW. Expect to take a little abuse on here, but ignore it. We all know that not everyone is a mechanic, but some folks can't help from swinging at a pinata.
