Well over the past few months it appears that I have gone Toyota crazy. This all started when I purchased a 2017 Crewmax Tundra SR5 in quicksand about 6 months ago. I absolutely loved the truck and added some rims, steps and tint.

I was content with the truck, however the Tacoma bug had bit me. I had begun to lurk around this site and finally decided that I would buy a 1st gen 4x4 to supplement this bohemeth and have some adventures in. I finally found the perfect 2000 tacoma with power everything, sun roof, locking hubs and snugtop shell. Again I was content

As time went on though, I slowly began to realize that driving the Tundra daily was quite the chore and didn't really make too much sense for me or my lifestyle. I don't really tow anything so it didn't make sense there and I also don't really haul that many people around. So other than the cool factor, it didn't make sense.

Fast forward till this week, I am now the owner of a 2017 Tacoma SR Double cab and I could not be happier. Basic, utilitarian, and clean. It could not be more opposite of the Tundra with the big V8, but it turns out that I quite like the i4 engine. Just wanted to post how happy I am with the switch in case anyone out there is looking to do the same.

P.S. This is my 5th Toyota. I've had a 2005 Tundra double cab, 2012 Corolla, 2000 Tacoma, 2017 Tundra, and now 2017 Tacoma.

That’s a lot of Toyota in a short amount of time! What are you gonna do with the 1st gen?

You're telling me! I'm gonna keep the 1st gen for now. It's in immaculate condition and the po was a Toyota master technician. It's also got a full OME suspension. Probably gonna sell the SnugTop Expo topper though.

So where's the minivan? I came in expecting a Honda... very disappoint.

I went from Tundra crew to Ridgeline to Tacoma all in the same year. AND, we have an Odyssey in our fleet. :D

Sounds almost like me. Had a 1985 Toyota pickup then a 2003 Tacoma. Decided I needed (wanted) a Tundra. Bought a new 2010 TRD off road and disliked driving it so much traded it for a 2011 tacoma TRD Sport in less than a year.

Congrats! I love my SR, just a simple no-frills truck, just like a truck should be!

These are my thoughts exactly! I wanted to cut out the excess and just get a truck. I'm putting on some all terrains and doing a couple of other small mods, but otherwise i'm keeping it bare bones stock.
